Office 365 Available for SCS-supported computers!

O365 Available for macOS and Windows

We are happy to announce the availability of Microsoft Office 365 Apps for Enterprise (Pro Plus) for our supported Mac and Windows users.

Not using an SCS-supported computer or a personal computer? You can visit the Andrew Computing Services website for more information about their offering of Microsoft Office 365 for non-supported computers.

What is Microsoft Office 365?

Microsoft Office 365 is an online and desktop-based collection of powerful productivity apps, although they vary by operating system:

  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft OneNote
  • Microsoft Outlook
  • Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft Access (Windows only)

Why should I upgrade?

Microsoft is ending support for Office 2016 for Mac in October.  While the current 2016 version of the Microsoft Office will continue to function, it will no longer receive software updates, security or functionality updates.  With this in mind, we strongly encourage you to upgrade to Microsoft Office 365 as soon as possible.

The good news? As students, faculty and staff using a Mac, you already have access to upgrade to the latest version of Microsoft Office 365 for macOS and Windows.

How do I upgrade?

For macOS

For instructions on how to download and install the new version, please visit our Microsoft Office 365 for Mac upgrade instructions page.

Please Note: The installation package will remove the unsupported Microsoft Office 2016 version automatically. If you are using a Microsoft Office for Mac version older than 2016, or experience any issues and require assistance, please contact us.

For Windows

For instructions on how to download and install the new version, please visit our Microsoft Office 365 for Windows upgrade instructions page.
